Shoot with Biggi Ayo

I had seen lots of Biggi's photos and thought they where stunning on a spare of the moment as it is the way he likes to work we did a shoot with the lovely Tonje Flathus she is an absolute natural . I styled Tonje and was also here makeup Artist for the shoot I thought it would be nice to put her in something that incoporates the metallic shimmery  fabrics coming in this year .

Not so secret Garden shoot with photographer Biggi Ayo ,we had crazy weather that day and changed our shooting location that was originally planned but it all came good in the end in an urban area in London Biggi has made the most with his settings and styling Tonje the model for this was adapted for her in this shoot as it was unforgivingly cold .

This is a photo of one of the Supermodels that was a favorite of mine in the 90s I think this picture is great and it reminds me of a photo that I took my self of one of the Style Kandi Models Peps recently when I was on a shoot in Notting Hill in London I saw a beautiful colourful back drop and just had to take pictures.

I really only watch these awards they show for the beauty and fashion and I loved Kate Hudsons dress this year. Elegant and Stylish such a Starlett dress don't you think.

Model Gabriela here wearing Jenny Sun her garment wear beautiful and really unique .Also another one of Style Kandi models Cyrielle with the look created with oriental style in mind hair by Style Kandi Team hairstylist Jorge. Jenny Sun dress in photo at the end the detail is lovely.
Usually behind the scence's of a fashion show it can be quite hectic but ours seemed to be just fine. Head of Makeup and Hair over seeing looks that were created for each designer was me Shenelle Brookshaw and the fab team and helpers made it all possible. Gathering information from each designer to get the right collaboration of looks was great as I always love creating.
The look on our model for designer Jenny Sun was inspired by her collection with the balance of masculinity and femininity and with a touch of the orient. Whilst the look that was the look on the models for designer Elena Ferti was had a Japanese inspiration and a danty doll effect too.

Backstage Style Kandi Models in Sassy designs from label Yan Neo .The look that I created for designer Yan was 1930's inspired makeup with a worn in modern effect and loose messy side chignons.I feel that this worked really well with the sleek tailored sassy style of Yan's line.

Summer Colour Clash

We had to take advantage of the summer sun and heat we had in London and I was creatively inspired by the festival hippie boho vibes that feel to me like something I personally have such an attachment to. With all things dangly floaty and eclective I embraced this one as creative director I felt we should take the team to Portobello road ,Donald Linderyd was photographer for the day and Elsa Isaku did the models hair just how I explained curly boho , I styled Cyrielle in vintage items and I did her make up sun kissed and slightly avant garde with some bright colours added to her eye's

Coachelle Festival Time

If there was any cool place us Brits wanted to be this year ,it has to be Coachella it looked to be so much fun free and easy relaxed chilled out didn't just look like everyone was just having such a good old time. Beyoncé her making an appearance here on stage with here lovely sister Solange trend setter in her own right. I am loving there big hair and twin set onsie onsombels here

Summer Brights

 Totally infatuated with the colour fiasco that we get to wear this season its time to experiment with colours freely summer is the time when you no longer need to be scared of colour bright and loud. Below Chanel bag , Catwalk Makeup and Illamasque Nail Polish.  

Valentines in style

Valentines so that loving feeling will be in the air for most ,red is always the romantic passionate colour associated with this day and so here I have Style Kandi Model Gabriela modelling this stunning gown. Happy Valentines everybody !! Xx

Grammy Magic

So the Grammys are here again and all kinds of Fashion magic was going on with the stars on the red carpet . This dress on Talyor swift was beautiful metallic shimmers of light gold and silver this will make any women look radiant. Whilst shopping for a client I spotted this beautiful Jenny Packham show stopper in Selfridges London this is the right kind of dress for the lady who likes to wow and look a million dollors.

Of course whilst I was at the Scoop Event I had to graduate toward the jewellery as this is one accessory I find it had to walk straight passed ,I came across this fun but glam brand Babe. I am a jewellery magnet !

STYLE KANDI at Scoop International London

Style Kandi Visted the Scoop international fashion event at the Saatchi Gallery in London , it was the first fashion event of the year and I was delighted to be greeted by the perfectly rolled out (black) carpet nice take on the celeb red. There where so many great designs to be seen there from jewellery ,event dresses , luxury leather bags and quirky footwear. I spotted this jewellery line there JOHN & PEARL needless to say they had me at hello gorgeous stuff. I also met up with a lovely fashion designer by the name of Yan of womens wear label YAN NEO.

Spring Last year - Forward trend to Autumn 2014

Lupita Nyongo at The Golden Globe awards was the young lady who's name was hot on every ones lips ,the actress graced the red carpet in a beautiful Dior dress and definitely caught my eye. You know what I love yes she is a stunning looking women but also that not in such a long time has an dark skinned black women had everyone talking about her beauty and her style that was very different the last dark skin person everyone talked about regarding her look and style had to be Grace Jones. And yes a stunning confident women that has talent is great what ever there colour as there is beauty in us all and you have to hold it and own it !
As I being a makeup artist will naturally look at her makeup I was glad to see it was a pretty and wearable look that still has you intrigued ,so I had to do a tribute to this Style Kandi Team model Peps as I call her ( Perpetual her real name ) came round for me to create this look.

 

GET THIS LOOK : Clinique foundation perfectly real compact makeup (use wet or dry and just small amount) and dusted over with a light shimmer bronze powder, Brow pencil Mua brunette and Rimmel black pencil liner for water line , Liquid eyeliner ones in a dipping pot, Chanel eye shadow from pallet Les 4 ombres 94 reflets d'ombre (golden shade),Benefit Jitterbug swingin' sweetie eye sparkle (golden shade) on eyes and also using a little amount on cheek bone with shimmer cream. Loreal volume million black Mascara , Lips Topshop red lip liner also Mua lipstick trio in temptress using the shimmery tone and finishing with Mac clear lipglass for added gloss.
And I styled the model with gorgeous ecclectic looking accessories for that African beauty finish .

Start Boutique was looking fabulous today with there new season candy sugar coated designer lovelies in there boutique always a great source for inspiration when you need a wardrobe update. This stylish clothes palace is that of the fashtastic Brix Smith Start with great knowledge of still she is the only one that could beat Gok Wan so many times on Goks fashion fix !
Thought the next piece would tie in quite nicely, well I knew I was staying ahead when I styled Style Kandi Model Sophie I was channelling candy colours spring trend ( must have ) fresh chic and shimmery elegance with this outfit I styled for a Style Kandi photo shoot and I was makeup artist for this shoot too.The hair I directed to go with the whole elegant look I was trying to create which was done by Style Kandi Team hairstylist Elsa Isaku she is amazing.

This was where the team came together launching the company and making something beautiful together the theme we had to create was titled modern glamour. These images i had in mind to use to sum up what the company is all about, people would contact us because they want something glam they are receiving something bespoke and luxury and so i put ideas together of the hair styles and makeup ideas then me and Style Kandi Team's other stylist sorted out garments and accessories.
